A Multi-Criteria Approach to Evaluate Floating Offshore Wind Farms Siting in the Canary Islands (Spain)

The study presents a methodology for floating wind farms site selection with Canary Islands case study. frame combines geographical information systems (GIS) and multiple criteria decision methods (MCDMs). First, the problematic areas installation of turbines are identified through GIS database application. This tool generates thematic layers representing exclusion criteria. Then, at second stage study, available maritime locations analyzed ranked using analytical hierarchy process (AHP), based on technical, economic, environmental aspects. AHP’s technique guarantee elimination judgment’s subjectivity. also compared solutions AHP other methods, such as Preference Ranking Organization METHod Enrichment Evaluations (PROMETHEE), ELimination Et Choix Traduisant la Realité (ELECTRE III), Technique Order Preferences by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) Weighted Sum Algorithm (WSA(). main result this is creation realistic objective overview offshore farm contribution minimize impacts reduce social conflicts between stakeholders.

Antibodies against R. felis were found in 5 adsorbed serum samples from 44 patients with clinically suspected rickettsiosis by Western blot serology.
